• Verification Information: Verification information, if applicable, such as documents voluntarily submitted for profile verification.
• Communications: Messages sent through in-app chat, reviews, ratings, and other user-generated content
• Support Requests: Information you provide when contacting customer support

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Service, we automatically collect:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, and app version
• Usage Information: Features used, pages viewed, time spent on the app, search queries, and interaction patterns
• Location Information: With your permission, we may collect approximate and/or precise location data. Precise GPS coordinates are collected only when you actively enable location sharing with a matched travel partner. We do not continuously track your location or use location data for advertising
• Log Data: IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs
• Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and analyze app performance

1.3 Information From Third Parties

We may receive information about you from:

• Third-Party Services: If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those services as permitted by your settings with those providers.
• Payment Processors: Transaction confirmation and fraud prevention information
• Verification Services: Identity verification results from third-party providers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and Improve the Service: Create and manage your account, enable travel matching, facilitate connections between travelers, process payments and gift card rewards, and improve app features and user experience

3.1 With Other Users

When you use Travel Tango, certain profile information (name, profile photo, bio, travel plans, and verification status) is visible to other users you match with or communicate with. Your reviews and ratings may also be visible to other users.

3.2 With Service Providers

We share information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service, including:

• Cloud hosting and data storage providers
• Payment processors and gift card fulfillment partners
• Analytics and app performance monitoring services
• Push notification and crash reporting services (Firebase by Google)
• Identity verification services
• Customer support platforms
• Media storage and content delivery services

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Travel Tango includes in-app chat features that allow users to communicate. Messages are stored on our servers to provide the Service. We may review messages if reported for violations of our Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

4.2 Reviews and Ratings

Reviews and ratings you post may be visible to other users. You are responsible for the content you share.

4.3 Reporting and Moderation

Travel Tango provides Block and Report tools to help maintain a safe community. You can:

• Block Users: Prevent specific users from contacting you or viewing your profile
• Report Content: Report inappropriate messages, reviews, profiles, or behavior

Reported content is reviewed by our moderation team. We may take action including content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban for violations of our policies. Important: Do not share sensitive personal information (such as financial account details, passwords, or home addresses) through chat or public profiles. Travel Tango is not responsible for information you choose to share with other users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Specific retention practices include:

• Account Data: Retained while your account is active
• After Account Deletion: Personal data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period following account deletion, typically within 90 days

You can delete your account at any time by:

1. Opening the Travel Tango app
2. Going to Account → Settings
3. Selecting “Delete Account”
4. Following the confirmation prompts

Alternatively, you can request account deletion by emailing support.traveltango@z2ventures.ai with the subject line “Account Deletion Request.” We will process your request within 30 days. Note: After deletion, some information may be retained as described in Section 5 (Data Retention).

7.4 Marketing Communications

You can opt out of promotional emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by adjusting your notification preferences in the app.

7.5 Location Permissions

You can control location access through your device settings. Disabling location may limit certain features like travel matching based on location.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features.

We do not:

• Track your location continuously or in the background
• Use location data for advertising or third-party marketing
• Share precise location data with other users without your explicit action (such as sharing your trip details)

You can manage location permissions at any time through your device settings.

9. Payments and Gift Card Rewards

Travel Tango facilitates secure in-app payments and may offer digital gift card rewards as a form of non-cash payout.

9.1 Payment Processing

Payment transactions are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store your complete credit card or bank account information. Payment information is handled in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

9.2 Gift Card Rewards

Users may be eligible to receive digital gift cards issued by third-party reward providers as a form of non-cash payout. Gift cards are:

• Optional and subject to availability
• Payments received for travel assistance are credited to your in-app wallet. Users may redeem wallet balances as digital gift cards through our third-party gift card provider (TangoCard). Gift cards are the only available withdrawal method – direct bank transfers or cash withdrawals are not supported.
• Not redeemable for direct cash withdrawals
• Subject to the terms and conditions of the gift card issuer

Travel Tango is not responsible for the availability, value, or redemption of third-party gift cards.

10. Children’s Privacy

Travel Tango is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support.traveltango@z2ventures.ai, and we will take steps to delete such information. Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.

11. International Data Transfers

Travel Tango operates from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
